Topics Covered:  Intro to Christ-centered counseling, Understanding rooted issues: behaviors, beliefs, etc., family Addiction Recovery Support, Codependency, Common Life Issues: anxiety, conflict/confrontation, emotionally destructive marriages and so much more.

Engagement: Students will have an opportunity to engage with Balm of Gilead Ministries staff and other students on a quarterly basis via virtual platform.

Who can take this course?
Anyone can take our Foundations course!  If you are pastor, ministry leader, lay counselor, small group leaders, missionaries, teachers or someone that people come to with life questions who desire to connect God's Word to life questions and situations for those under your care.  If you want to help grow in your knowledge of how God tends to His hurting children, then this course is for YOU!
Will this course give me a certification?
The Foundations course will not give you career-level certification that allows you to professionally counsel. You will receive a certificate of completion.  
Are there prerequisites to taking this course?
There are no prerequisites to this course.  Our Foundations course includes our Basics, so students do not need to take Basics, if you take our Foundations.  Basics will be coming soon.
